PROGRAMME

Departure from the port of Capo d'Orlando at 09:15. Arrival at Rinella-Salina at 10:15.

Rinella is a fisherman village, unique because of its charm and the landscape - it is one of the most scenic locations thanks to the black sand beach shaped like a crescent which is surmounted by the rock caves. Salina is the greenest of the Aeolian Islands, also famous because it was the film set of the movie Il Postino (Radford-Troisi, 1994). Colourful fishing boats on pebble beach's, and rolling hills covered with wild capers and Malvasia wine grapes, give this island its charm.

Departure from Rinella-Salina at 12:00. Arrival on Vulcano at 12.30.

Vulcano is famous for its natural sulphurous mud baths, caused by volcanic phenomena called fumaroles - they provide visitors an opportunity for natural, therapeutic R&R at the end of this busy day trip. A short walk away, and located in the sea a few metres off the white sandy beach, are the islands thermal hot springs, and are a once-in-a-lifetime experience with the sea bubbling before you. Further down the road lies the black beach, covered in obsidian sand - it’s easy to convince yourself to lie back and relax for an hour or so. If you are more active, you can also use your time to discover captivating landscapes while climbing the Gran Cratere (central crater) or visiting La Valle dei Mostri (the Valley of the Monsters) at the Grotta del Cavallo.

Departure at 15:30. Arrival at Panarea at 16:15.

Panarea, the smallest and oldest of the Aeloian Islands, is also the most glamorous, with celebrities regularly frequenting the island for their love of the sea, the beaches, and the nightlife. Panarea’s old town appears like a colourful painting, with the deep blue of the sea up against the white of the houses which illuminate the narrow streets leading to St. Peter's Church and the Archaeological Museum. You may enjoy luxurious sunbathing at the beautiful Cala Junco Bay, or on the sandy beach at Cala degli Zimmari, but only if you take a bus - this will, however, take up most of the allocated time during this stop on your tour. If you prefer not to rush yourself, you still have the chance to capture a photo of this beautiful bay once on the boat again.

Departure from Panarea at 18:30. Arriving at Capo d’Orlando at 20:00.
