PROGRAMME

Transfer by bus* from the nearest pickup point to your hotel, to the Capo d'Orlando port.

Departure by boat at 08:30. Arrival on Vulcano at 09:45.

Vulcano is famous for its natural sulphurous mud baths, caused by volcanic phenomena called fumaroles - they provide visitors an opportunity for natural, therapeutic R&R at the end of this busy day trip. A short walk away, and located in the sea a few metres off the white sandy beach, are the islands thermal hot springs, and are a once-in-a-lifetime experience with the sea bubbling before you. Further down the road lies the black beach, covered in obsidian sand – it’s easy to convince yourself to lie back and relax for an hour or so. If you are more active, you can also use your time to discover captivating landscapes while climbing the Gran Cratere (central crater) or visiting La Valle dei Mostri (the Valley of the Monsters) at the Grotta del Cavallo.

Departure from Vulcano at 13:15. Arrival on Panarea at 14:30.

On the journey to Panarea, the boat takes a panoramic tour around the island of Lipari, where the contrast between the blue of the sea and the white pumice mountains frame and highlight the beauty of the two famous lava stacks Petra Lunga and Petra Menalda.

Panarea, the smallest and oldest of the Aeloian Islands, is also the most glamorous, with celebrities regularly frequenting the island for their love of the sea, the beaches, and the nightlife. Panarea’s old town appears like a colourful painting, with the deep blue of the sea up against the white of the houses which illuminate the narrow streets leading to St. Peter's Church and the Archaeological Museum. You may enjoy luxurious sunbathing at the beautiful Cala Junco Bay, or on the sandy beach at Cala degli Zimmari, but only if you take a bus - this will, however, take up most of the allocated time during this stop on your tour. If you prefer not to rush yourself, you still have the chance to capture a photo of this beautiful bay once on the boat again.

Departure at 17:15 back to Capo d'Orlando port.

Arrival in Capo d'Orlando at 19:30.

Transfer by bus back to pick-up point nearest your hotel.

*The pick-up point depends on where you are staying, and may be outside your hotel, or just a short walk away. The pick-up time may vary in relation to your pick-up point.
