PROGRAMME

Departure at 07:00*.

Once arrived in Agrigento, you will meet the local guide to take a guided tour of the spectacular Valley of the Temples. The Valley of the Temples is an exceptional historical testimony of the Magna Graecia, and of the following period. The archaeological area of Agrigento was designated an UNESCO "World Heritage Site" in 1997. The remains of the Hellenistic (and later, Punic-Roman) city, the imposing Doric temples, the agora, the necropolis and the dense network of underground aqueducts, make up the wealth of a site that covers approximately 1,300 hectares, and which tells a millenary history with the foundation of the ancient Greek colony of Akragas.

Return to your accommodation* by lunch.
